To restate my issue: my challenge starts when adding a new email alias to be accessed by Outlook (365) - part of my "Microsoft 365 Family" subscription with up to 6 people. The process of configuration has changed and I need to learn that new process. The issue that I currently face seems to be that one is no longer able to configure email aliases.

With Outlook (365) on my PC - installed and configured for several years, I'm still able to send from an alias email (!) - I tested this yesterday.Wth Office 365 (now "Microsoft 365"), it is my understanding that one subscribes by computers (seats) - not the number of email (servers) configured and accessed by Outlook.However the Microsoft individual seems misinformed for several reasons: (pre-365 subscription) and using App/Web interfaces - dropping my 365 subscription. While, I very much appreciate the integration that Outlook provides and I've been a longterm user through many iterations of product for 10+ years - if Outlook can't provide alias sending functionality - I'm considering returning to my paid versions of Office This spring, I had to reinstall OFFICE 365 on my machine - and in the process I discovered that unless I could "login" to my email alias (which I couldn't - since it is a fowarding service), Outlook no longer seemed to support a set-up to use my alias emailĪt the moment, I'm composing emails with Outlook - and then using my web interface to send (IMAP emails composed with Outlook are visible through the web interface or App after hitting "save" in Outlook).

My alias (actually two alias for two professional organizations) is a forwarding service that points at my current provider and gives me the flexibility to change providers without changing my professional "brand" - e.g. Until recently (Spring 2020) I was able to send emails from Outlook using my "email alias".
